SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY (SA-8000) – OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
SA 8000 is an international standard for decent working conditions including: child labor, forced labor, workplace safety and health, freedom of association and right to collective bargaining, discrimination, discipline, remuneration, working hours, and HR management systems.

FAIR TRADE – ENSURING BEST PRICES TO FARMERS
To improve the condition of farmers in India, the Fairtrade Organization is setting a minimum price that covers the costs & living expenses of the rural farmers.
Additionally, a premium is added to perk up their life & community. It aims to facilitate us achieve better trading conditions. The cotton in products certified by Fairtrade has been grown by farmers who receive a fair deal for their effort. They also receive a premium which goes towards projects within their local community such as building a school or establishing access to water etc.

Sustainability is a worth that is close to our hearts. Sustainability has long been a focus at Kishor Exports, but it is imperative for us to get the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification as it gives our clients confidence in the products and assures them that these products in no way contain chemicals or other dangerous substances that are unfavorable to the health. HOW WE SUPPORT TEARS?
The residual fabric cut offs extracted during cutting are collected & given to TEARS free of cost. With those cut offs, the students weave durries/carpets. We coordinate with the clients & handle the transition of goods. Finally, the clients directly pay to TEARS. For the clients, it is Zero Waste production.

We, as a socially & environmentally responsible company believe that small changes can lead to a big impact. As a part of our ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE, Kishor Exports always strive to find an eco-friendly & sustaina ble method to upcycle the leftovers to create intricate, beautifully designed products.
